Please report anything that breaks so that we can address it. Thank you.

Door Lock

The San Juan Sunrise – Luna Studio uses a Yale Nest Connect Lock. You will be given a personal code to open the door on your check-in day. Inside the apartment, you will find the key that opens the lobby entrance during the overnight hours as well as the elevator room door so that you do not have to buzz us every time you come in.

If you choose to include the private parking during your stay, the parking garage chip (instructions will be sent in a separate email) will be included in the key set.

Your code will expire at the time of your check-out or the time that you state in your registration.

PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THE CODE WITH ANYONE EXCEPT FOR THOSE IN YOUR PARTY.

TO UNLOCK DOOR: Press the YALE logo to activate the lock.

Enter your personal code and then press the  ✓ (checkmark). If by any chance, your door code or the lock does not please call us immediately.

TO LOCK THE DOOR EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE: Simply PRESS THE YALE LOGO
To lock the door from inside the apartment, simply turn the back knob.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you have the keys with you! If you forget to bring the keys with you; you will have to buzz again to #2600. If you have an emergency, please call our property manager, Balthazar (number will be provided to you or found here).

Main Building Door Key

The key that you will find in the apartment kitchen counter will open the front lobby door for late-night entry into the front of the building and the same key opens the glass doors to the elevators. Both keys will buzz slightly when they are open. After 8 PM, the main entrance to the building will be locked. There is usually a security attendant at the desk overnight. They can buzz you in or you can use the key on the lock located on the right of the building’s front entrance.

To open late night, insert the key on the lock to the right of the main lobby door. You will hear a buzz when open. The same buzzing sound applies to the entry into the elevators.

TV

The Luna Studio has a 50” LG Smart TV has basic cable (provided by Liberty Cable) and in addition, the ability to smartcast programs or videos from your phone or other WiFi connecting devices such as laptops or smartphones.

In order to operate the TV, you will see 2 controllers,

  • the larger one is for the cable titled Liberty at the bottom of the remote. USE THIS CONTROLLER FOR CABLE TV ONLY.
  • The smaller remote control is for the TV. Please do not use this controller to operate the TV. Use only when you are using SMART TV features. IT IS LOCATED IN THE TOP DRAWER OF THE NIGHT TABLE RIGHT OF THE BED

Protecting Our Furniture

As you will see, a lot of our furniture is wood and we kindly ask you to treat it as if it were your own. We have scattered coasters for you to use when placing your beverages on the tables, desk, or dresser.

Air Conditioning

We have a powerful AC. In addition,  we have a small table fan that you can use. PLEASE TURN OFF AIR CONDITIONER & FAN WHEN YOU LEAVE.

During North America’s winter months (December-March), Puerto Rican weather is perfect!  Daily highs are in the upper 70s F(+21° C) to lows 80s (+26.5° C). During the evening, the weather is a comfortable upper 60s (15.5° C) to low 70s (21° C).

Being at the top, the breeze in our corner property is great, hence not needing the air conditioner except overnight when I do recommend you close the windows to lower the blinds (unless you want to welcome the sunrise in full force).

During the North American summer, San Juan weather heats up. Sometimes the weather is in the upper 90s F (32° C) and even in the 100s (38° C). Surprisingly, the breeze makes it nice up at the top during the summer. You will need the AC in the evening and possibly the fan as well during the day. We ask you kindly to please help us conserve energy by turning off all appliances when you are not home. Thank you!

Work Area

Luna Studio is equipped with a solid wood table and a modern comfortable seat. There is plenty of electrical outlets and table light. On the desk, you will also find some books and resources about Puerto Rico
( Please do not remove them from the apartment).

WE KINDLY ASK YOU TO LEAVE THE FRIDGE CLEAN AND THAT YOU THROW ALL FOOD ITEMS OUT BEFORE YOU LEAVE.

Please use the grey cloth dish rack to dry your dishes and then stowaway.

Cleaning

Should you decide to clean, we have some cleaning supplies located in the bottom cabinet right of the oven. You will find, a broom, mop, and vacuum for your use (these are located in the closet by the window or to the far side of the closet just left of the window.
Please let us know if there is an accident, stain, or other mishaps so that we can address it when we clean. We thank you for your honesty.
