San Juan Sunrise Parking Garage
We have a private, enclosed parking garage in our building which is owned and shared with Vistas de San Juan. You need a special ORANGE CHIP (see the orange chip in the picture below) to enter and exit the garage. Unfortunately, because of the fact that the parking available to us is a private parking garage with no affiliation to our building, we must charge a small fee.
In addition, we will charge you $5 per day for your entire stay (no partial days).
If you lose the chip/key then we will need to charge you $35 for the chip and/or $25 for the building key to replace them.
The entrance to our parking garage is just behind the first white car to the right (see picture above). Our building’s entrance is to the right where the black car is underneath the entrance cover.
The ramp descends down into the parking lot entrance. This is left of Caribbean Sea View’s front entrance.
To get to the BOOM BARRIER where you will descend the parking ramp is located down this driveway.
IMPORTANT!!!
You MUST scan the orange chip to ENTER and when you EXIT. This means that the BOOM BARRIER OR GATE NEEDS TO GO UP AND LET YOU IN/ OUT. If you don’t scan when you EXIT, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER AGAIN.
If this happens, we will need to reprogram it and it needs to be done in the administrative offices of Vistas de San Juan during normal business hours. Since you are not the property owner, we ask you kindly not to attempt to handle this yourself. PLEASE CALL THE PROPERTY MANAGER. You will need to park in street parking until we can resolve this.
As soon as you descend down the ramp from the front entrance you will see the entrance to our neighboring building, Visitas de San Juan (see above to the right). Do NOT enter our building through here. The entrance to the hallway connecting our building, Caribbean Sea View located 2 flights from the ground level, 1 flight up from the 1st-floor parking ramp.
Just left across from Visitas de San Juan entrance is the boom barrier for the parking lot to go up the ramp. Make sure to scan the orange chip to lift the boom barrier.
You MUST SCAN the orange chip EVERYTIME you ENTER and EXIT even if the boom barrier is up.
Scan the orange chip to go up the ramp to park.
To get the ORANGE CHIP:
You must park on the street first so that you can get the ORANGE CHIP inside the apartment. You must enter the building the first time normally as instructed on The Building page.
Once you are inside the apartment, you will find the ORANGE CHIP attached to the keyset that you will need anyway because it opens the elevator and main building door key. You will need the door key and the ORANGE CHIP for the rest of your stay. PLEASE RETURN BOTH IN THE EXACT PLACE YOU FOUND THEM.
PARKING RULES:
You may park in any free space except on the ground floor which is reserved for staff and Dollar Rent-a-Car. Please read the signs carefully.
The parking garage is 3-levels, the final level is on the roof (outdoor). To go up to the next level you must loop around the floor after you come up from the ramp and go up in the same spot you ascended on the previous floor.
PARKING GARAGE STAIRS
You will notice that if you park on the 1st level [ORANGE LEVEL] (just above the ground) you will have to go up the stairs to get to the corridor to connect you with our building, Caribbean Sea View.
If you park on the 2nd level [GREEN LEVEL], you will not need to go up or down any stairs.
If you park on the 3rd level [ROOFTOP], you will need to go down the stairs.

The ORANGE level is located just above the ground floor entrance to the parking garage. The ramp to go up to the GREEN level is just right of the photo above.
ORANGE LEVEL
The GREEN level is at the level where you have to go neither up nor down a flight of stairs to get to the corridor that connects to our building, Caribbean Sea View.
GREEN LEVEL
The ROOFTOP level. You will need to go down one flight of stairs (see photo above in the lower left behind the black van) to get to the entrance of the corridor that connects the parking lot with our building, Caribbean Sea View.

To EXIT the parking garage:
Descend or go down, the ramp is located on the exact opposite side of the ramp going up. Go slowly and look at the various rearview mirrors provided.
Look for these exit signs above.
Use the LEFT side to go DOWN and use the RIGHT side to go UP.
When you get to ground level take a RIGHT to EXIT and you will see the boom barrier. Parking lot exit. Use the boom barrier on the RIGHT SIDE.
DO NOT FORGET TO SCAN THE ORANGE CHIP TO EXIT EVEN IF THE BOOM BARRIER IS UP.
To get to the parking lot from Caribbean Sea View
You will see the entrance to the long corridor to the left of the parking garage stairs. Once you go through the door, take a right down the long corridor. You should go through some unlocked glass doors. If you see our elevator doors, you are in the right place.
